Sterilise all parts except the element\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e(3) before assembly\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eif a standard element is to be fitted boil it in water for 20 minutes before\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eassembly. Boiling is not necessary with ‘Sterasyl’ elements, as they are\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eself-sterilising\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eTurn off the main water supply.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eTwo 5mm fixing slots in the filter body (6) enable the filter to be wall\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003emounted. The fixing slot centres are 112 mm.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eFix the filter body (6) to the wall in a convenient position above the sink.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDetermine which side of the filter body (6) the tap (5) is to be connected\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eand screw the plug (9A), having wound PTFE tape or similar on to it. into\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ethe opposite side.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIf the tap (5) and nipple (4) are supplied, remove the screw securing the\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003etap handle. Remove the handle. Wind PTFE tape, or similar, ontc one\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eend of the nipple (4) and screw it into the tap. Wind PTFE tape, or simi-\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003elar, onto the other end of the nipple and screw it into the filter body (6)\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eensuring that the tap points in the desired direction. Re-fit the tap\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ehandle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eNOTE:\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt is important that when installing the filter there is some form of\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eisolating valve in the water supply line.
